SELL YOUR WORK WITH TRINKET & FERN

The Benefits

  • The art sold on Trinket and Fern has been juried for quality, originality and beauty.
  • We are here to answer questions and concerns and to walk you through the process of listing your work.
  • Trinket and Fern uses a marketing company to assist us with promotion of the website.
  • Our website is beautiful and buyer friendly. Buyers will enjoy shopping on our site, they will not have to scroll through thousands of objects to find your images, our thumbnails are large and your name is clearly displayed.
  • We offer a blog for our artists to post articles, press releases, tutorials, studio tours and any other promotional materials an artist wants to share. This helps a buyer get to know you, it is also a valuable tool for helping people find your page on our site. All blog posts are linked to the artists information page.
  • We also use Youtube, Google, Facebook, Twitter and other social media on a regular basis to promote your work.

How It Works

  • You will begin by filling out the APPLICATION
  • The jury looks at your application information and images. We will notify you within one week. If you are accepted we will email you the contract, and add new work forms and passwords to access the blog and you tube channel, along with any other information you might need to get started.
  • You will then have to decide which membership option works best for you.

Guild Membership

We think of the guild membership as being a member of a co op. For a yearly fee of $200.00 you will get to sell an unlimited number of items on the website for the entire year for no additional fees.
  • You will be placed at the beginning of your category. For example if you are a potter and we have 5 potters who are guild members out of 25 potters you would be in the top 5 on the page. As we get more members this will become increasingly important.
  • You will have one week a year where you are the featured artist. We will promote you on our website, Facebook page and the blog, and emails sent by constant contact.
  • You will be allowed to change images or text on your page 4 times a year for no additional fees, anything more than that will be 25 cents each image to change your slideshow images. Images can be removed at no cost.
  • You will receive 10% off artist services. Please see the blog for details.
  • You will be promoted with Google ads, Facebook ads, constant contact email ads, Twitter and Flicker, Pintrest and with the assistance of our marketing company we will be keeping up on all of the new marketing tools.
  • You will be invited to participate in any events we do throughout the year including trunk shows, craft shows and Pop Up stores. If you are a Guild Member you will get 10% off fees charged for participating in craft shows and pop up shops.

$165 Upgrade to Guild Membership

What criteria does the jury use?
  • The work must reflect an original point of view.
  • The work must be well crafted and made by the artist.

  • We do not accept a lot of work that is a similar design.
How do I pay my fees?
  • Fees are paid by credit card or paypal. Each form has instructions for how to pay.
Can I change to another membership?
  • YES! If you chose to switch to a Guild Membership you may do that and pay the $200.00 fee. This is a one time fee, you do not pay any add new work fees and we do not collect a percentage. The only fees you may be charged is if you change images or text on your page.
Who pays for shipping charges?
  • The customer pays for shipping. We receive payment at the time of the sale and this payment is sent to the artist to reimburse them for the shipping. If you have a paypal account these payments are transferred as soon as we receive them from the customer. Please see the link about shipping on the website for more information.
How do I keep track of inventory?
  • The artist is responsible for keeping track of their inventory. If something sells on our page it is removed from the page immediately. If the artist sells something that is listed on another site at another venue (gallery, website etc) they must contact us immediately to have us remove it. Your artist statement should talk about your inspirations, your training and techniques. Including something personal about yourself makes this experience fun for the customer. This page will also have links to any posts you post on our blog.
What should I include in the description of my work?
We need to know:
  • The price
  • What the work is made from
  • The size of the piece
